The answer really depends on your product. Some things you really NEED to stick with the US for…like cosmetics, pet supplies and supplements. Basically anything that goes in or on you or your pet. Other things are very difficult to source stateside. Starting with small quantities from something like AliExpress can be a great way to go! You can always customize later when you prove you can sell the item. The last thing you mentioned sounds an aweful lot like hijacking someone’s product or listing to me, and although it may be legal, I prefer to stay away from that. There are plenty of places to source your product besides leaching onto someone else’s product or listing, and simply shipping to your customer. Hope this helps!

Do you recommend using US suppliers to get samples/small orders to quickly validate product types or do think going overseas and getting samples/small orders from alibaba or aliexpress is best for validation strategies?

I have also heard of just throwing up a custom listing of an item already on amazon or the internet somewhere and if/when sales come in through your listing you just pay for the item yourself but have it shipped to the amazon customer as way for quick validation. Your thoughts?

Love the podcasts…Keep up the great job and thanks!

I am loving you Podcast. You have some unique tips and tricks I haven’t heard before that are truly helpful including the 999 trick. I am stuck in the beginning stages of searching for the right product to private label. I have spent hours and Amazon and just can’t seem to find products that match all of the suggested criteria. Do you have an easy way to look at the top 1,000 products in a category?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Your podcast is unique and not the same regurgitated content that seems to be pervasive. I’ve been able to take away some real gems from your hard work. Thank for your effort!
